Richard made history as the first person to kayak solo and unsupported across the Atlantic Ocean, paddling from Cape Town to Brazil. A lifelong waterman, he has represented South Africa internationally and has achieved a number of Provincial and National titles in Canoeing.
He has spent decades mastering the art of ocean, from competitive yachting (Americas Cup Campaign) including 20 years of sailing around the worlds oceans.
He is also the only person to kayak the entire coast line of South Africa on his own.
